Grace & Kyle June 2011

Last week i had the pleasure of creating beautiful wedding flowers for Grace & Kyle's big day.
Grace wanted a country feel & it was important that her bouquet was scented. So i chose a gorgeous scented white rose which smelt Divine! Also honeysuckle plucked straight from the hedgerow gave a lovely scent as well.

Grace was a stunning bride & she choose cream & white as her bridal colours. Seen here with her Daddy Ted, she wore a stunning dress from Elody Bridal Newry. The inspiration for her style on the day was Marilyn Monroe & conincdentally the white roses in her bouquet were called "Norma Jean" which is Marilyn's real name.
Love this photograph as her Daddy Ted looks so proud of his beautiful daughter!

Grace's bridesmaid was her twin sister, who wore a fabulous Cream dress.

Groom's Buttonhole, White Rose, blackberries & ivy.

The Flower girl held this little wand.

The bridesmaid's bouquet was made from cream & white roses, dahalia's, astilbi, blackberries & honeysuckle.

The Arch was my greatest challenge to date, i really enjoyed making it & loved the finished product! The bride's dad made the structure.

Trailing ivy was a theme in the church, i used it to decorate the pillars, the pew ends, the altar arrangement & i also made two heart wreaths from ivy, which hung on the doors into the church.

Wishing all the best to Grace & Kyle. xx

Megan & Andrew June 2011

It was a real pleasure to create Meagan's bridal bouquets & buttonholes. Another florist friend who is Aunt to the groom decorated the church & reception.

The Bridal bouquet was made from ivory roses, calla Lillie's, thistle, astilbi & coral fern.
Right from the off Megan knew exactly what she wanted, which makes my job very easy. The men are all wearing kilt's & she wanted thistle in all the bouquets & buttonholes to bring in the Scottish theme.

The Bridesmaids bouquets were small posies, made with roses, thistle, lisianthus, veronica, coral fern & lilac spray roses. There were four in total.

Wishing all the best to Megan & Andrew on their big day.

Charlene & Mark

Charelene booked me to do her wedding flowers well in advance, but it seemed to fly by very quickly.
She knew what she wanted right from the off, soft pinks, greens & whites. Gorgeous colour combination, love it!!
Her bouquet was a wired trailing bouquet made from peony's, roses, spray roses, viburnum & lisianthus.

Buttonholes were "sweet avalanche" roses.

Windy day, but at least there were blue sky's & no rain!!

Bridesmaids bouquets were a hand tied bouquet using the same flowers as the bride's.

Pink & green has to be my all time favourite colour combination, and i really enjoyed working with such gorgeous blooms. Peony's can be expensive but they are in season such a short period its a shame not to use them! It was a complete pleasure to work with Charlene & create the flowers for her fabulous wedding. Wishing Mark & Charlene all the best in married life together.

Claire & Gary May 2011

I met Claire by chance, & when she seen my fabric bouquets she fell in love.

Her bouquet was made in a tear drop shape & lovingly hand-stitched by me.

As well as lovely pale gold & ivory fabrics the bouquets included lots of vintage buttons, brooches, pearls, lace & feathers.

The bridesmaids carried posy style fabric bouquets & the flower girls held pommanders.

The buttonholes were also made from fabric.

Gorgeous wedding, fabulous dress & stunning bouquets, what more could a girl ask for on her wedding day?
It was a pleasure to work with Claire & we wish her and Gary every happiness in the future.

Karen & Richard May 2011

Karen made an absolutely stunning bride & it was an honour to create her country feel bridal flowers!!

Her bouquet was made using, wild ivy, ammi, roses, dahalia's, peony's, viburnum & chincherinchee.

Bridesmaids bouquets were similar & smaller.

Hair pieces made from ivy, spray roses & lisianthus were worn by the bridesmaids.

The greens & whites work so well together & black ivy berry's were a lovely contrast. Wishing all the best to Karen & Richard.
